Our services:

Surgery Procedures

Our doctors perform a wide variety of surgeries, from routine spays and neuters to more involved surgeries such as tumor removals, abdominal surgeries, cherry eye surgery, etc.

Pre-anesthetic labwork
All pets undergoing anesthetic procedures should be screened with bloodwork prior to being anesthetized. Bloodwork can show us if there are pre-existing medical conditions which may make your pet a higher risk surgery patient. We can adjust our anesthetic and surgical protocols to ensure that your pet's unique conditions are accounted for before, during, and after surgery. The blood work gives us a baseline for future labwork in case your pet should become ill in the future. We use a vital signs monitor to keep your pet's blood pressure, body temperature, respiration, heart rate, and ECG measurements throughout the anesthetic procedure.

VACCINATION AND MICROCHIPPING

Here at Sama Veterinary clinic we prefer to do the initial combo vaccines.

For puppies this combo vaccineis called the distemper/parvo vaccine or the DHPPiL vaccine.

For kittens is called cat flu/feline panleucopaenia vaccine. They receive their initial one at the age of 8 weeks then receive two more (booster and Rabies) at 12 weeks. So in total, for this vaccine, your pet will have one initial immunization and booster that follow and one Rabies vaccine. After the booster your pet will not need these vaccines for another year and then will receive it yearly after that.

Microchip helps identify your pet. It is required for a traveling abroad and serves as a permanent method of identification (lifelong). The microchip is very small and is injected under your pet's skin with a needle. It feels about the same as a vaccination.

Digital X-Ray

Sama Veterinary Clinic has full body radiography.

We use radiographs to obtain information about the size, shape, density, and location of almost any organ in the body, including the heart, lungs, abdominal organs, as well as the bones. Radiographs are invaluable to help us determine what may be going on inside your pet. Digital radiographs also allows the doctor to electronically send the images to a board certified radiologist for consultation.
